Community-Based Outreach & Fundraising
Through tennis and other fund-raising activities, Bern's Angels aim to ACE ALZHEIMERs through community-based outreach and education to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s focusing on the following goals:
- Strengthen the community knowledge base of Alzheimer’s health literacy by disseminating National Alzheimer’s Association approved literature to the community.
- Increase awareness of the importance of research involvement, including clinical trials that advance treatment options.
- Increase awareness of warning signs, memory screening and when to schedule a doctor’s appointment to improve early Alzheimer’s detection and treatment options.
- Increase knowledge of community resources designed to support family caregivers.
- Increase the number of community partners and collaborators by working together to confront Alzheimer’s and/or Dementia.
